Who We Are

We are searching, questioning, and sometimes doubting. We are imperfect, filled with joy, know disappointment, and don’t have all the answers. We are people who come seeking hope and forgiveness. We are people who want to experience the rich grace of God in our lives.

Come and join us on our journey. Bring your questions, your joys, your doubts, your uncertainties, and walk with us as we seek to discover more about a God who stops at nothing to love us, and as we go into the world to serve our neighbor with that love.

Mission Statement

In response to the call of Jesus Christ, we the people of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church are committed to:

Celebrating the excitement of God’s influence in life by being visible witnesses of Christ and

Ministering to the spiritual and physical needs of our community and the world, through our God – given talents.

What We Believe

Immanuel Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Upstate New York Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. We come from many places and diverse backgrounds, but we are gathered together by God around God’s Word and sacraments, filled with God’s love and grace, then sent into the world to share that love and grace in all that we do.

We take seriously God’s call to love God and love our neighbor. Through worship and learning ministries we seek to immerse ourselves in God’s Word, experiencing stories of a God who created us and all that there is in love… a God who wraps us in arms of grace and mercy… a God who calls us beloved child no matter who we are. Then we go into our community to love those around us in Webster and around the world.
