We hear a lot about the environment, climate change, and ecology these days. Recently, The United Nations released a study finding around one million species are in danger of extinction within our lifetime. The earth’s temperature is warming and dire predictions are being made. Is there hope? What is the church’s role around the issue of the environment?

This year we will dig into these questions at Adult Vacation Bible School. Adult VBS is July 29-August 1 in the evenings. God created the earth in love and grace, and set us as caretakers for a wondrous, diverse, complex creation. As such, we will learn how the church can be a voice for the environment, how we can make changes that will impact climate change and bring hope as God’s hands working for the good of all.

So, mark your calendars now for this exciting week! We will be sharing this time with folks from Incarnate Word Lutheran Church in the city, and both Pastors Joanne and Doug Stewart will lead us in this journey. Dinner begins at 6:15 pm and class is at 7:00 pm.

Call or email the church office at (585) 872-5180 or office@immanuelwebster.org to sign up.
