Continuing to find ways to help those in our community with food insecurities the Hunger Ministry decided to have a Little Free Pantry installed at Immanuel.  The pantry is located in the rear of the church between the parking lot and the Memorial Garden.  A Little Free Pantry is for neighbors helping neighbors.  The sign on our pantry reads “Take What You Need Share What you Can”.  Our congregation and our community should use the pantry as needed and to share when able.  This is the fourth pantry (that we are aware of) in the Webster community.  One is located at St. Martin on Bay Road, one is located at the Webster Baptist Church in the Village and one is located at United Church of Christ on Klem Road.  Items that can be donated to the pantry include non-perishable foods such as pasta, cereal, pancake mix, soups, canned fruits and vegetables, peanut  butter, sugar, and flour.  Personal hygiene and toiletry items such as soap, tooth paste, deodorant, toilet paper and diapers.  Children’s coloring books and crayons can also items that can help out a family. During the winter months we need to be careful with items that could freeze.  We look forward to managing this latest ministry supporting our community.
