The New Testament Gospels are not simply read, they are studied. They may be studied from a historical perspective, a content perspective, or a theological perspective. Curious about the world in which the gospels were written? What non-Judaic influences were at play? Why were only four chosen for the Bible, when there were many more written? Did the gospel writers know each other? Did they copy material from each other? What messages were they trying to convey and to whom? We will touch on all these questions and more, as we review each gospel’s unique and shared content in a study based on Mark Allan Powell’s Fortress Introduction to the Gospels. Join the adult class on Sunday mornings, as we consider the background and the highlights of the four New Testament Gospels, as well as some of the other gospels.

You will find the information for joining the Zoom call in the weekly worship email.
